Darlene was sound asleep in her room, having sweet dreams of her childhood in Bavaria when suddenly a series of blood-curdling screams rang out from her roommate's bedroom... "AAAAHH! AAAAHH! NO DON'T!!!! AAAAHH! AAAAHH!"
She rushed over to his room half-asleep and groggy to find him tossing, turning, and screaming all while wrapped up tightly in his blanket soaked in sweat. She tried waking him up, shaking him, eventually finding his face all while he's yelling: "NO NO NO! LEAVE MY MOM ALONE!" Once she found his face she slapped him awake.
Darlene: "Todd! Wake up! What happened to you? You must've been having the mother of all nightmares" He started crying and threw his arms around her, beyond grateful to have her here.
Todd: "I-I had a horrible dream, I met this skinny lioness and she she-"
Darlene: "What did she do honey?" She said trying to comfort him.
Todd: "She tricked me into fall in love with her, she fattened me up, and then.... she butchered me. And threatened to go after my mom while I was stewing away in her gut."
Darlene: "That sounds awful kleiner mann! Do you want to come stay in my bed the rest of the night? " He nodded and came with her to her bed after toweling off. She got cozy and put her arms around him, letting him cuddle in for the rest of the night. Todd: "Darlene?" Darlene: "Yes Todd? What is it?" As she ran her hand on his back. He hesitated for a moment but said: "I just want you to know I really love and appreciate you Darlene, and I'm sorry I woke you up."
Darlene: "I love you too kleiner mann, but we both need to get some rest okay?" He nodded and snuggled in for the night.


The next morning she rolled over and didn't see him in bed with her. "Where did he go? I figured he'd want morning cuddles. Oh well, guess I'll go get a bite before work."
She went downstairs and found Todd wearing an apron, having made her a proper breakfast. "Oh! Todd, you went all out huh? Bacon, eggs, banana-nut muffins. You didn't need to go and do all this. But I'm glad you did!"
He pulled out her chair and said: "I just wanted to thank you for being my friend Darlene, who knows: if you hadn't of woken me up I might've scared myself to death."
