Oh man, this is gold. I love designs that mix “cute and cartoony” with “uncanny monster” and this is an extremely inspired way to do that. You usually get characters like Marx from Kirby who shift from one state to the next, changing his teeth and pupils, and it does fit given the inherent flexibility and expressiveness of cartoons, but I love that this dude just has a seamless blend of both aspects instead.

His lips are a cute silly cartoon cat owo smile, no buts about it, and also they have realistic fangs and gums that wouldn’t even be scary if they weren’t out of place in this cutesy guy. His cheek blush and eyes are perfectly streamlined stylization, so why are they placed on a realistic human head shape with detailed fur??? It’s just, really good. He reminds me of the Cats musical, too.
