Still, calm, and quiet
The only sound I could hear is the distant sound of streams flowing into the lake, to the left, and to the right of me. It was a calm ever-present white noise in the distance, but that is all, the only sound. I was the only other noise out there, the crunch of my shoes as I crunched through the surface layers of solid frozen mud that had become like a fragile lattice beneath my feet.
I was noise, and that was all.
I was noise, and that was all.

It was very interesting out that day. It was early enough that the sun had just poked itself over the horizon, but not quite over the surrounding mountains. So there was light in the sky, just not the sun itself. All the atmospherics, such as the morning mist, was shifting on a breeze that was drifting through the valley. The morning was so dynamic with all the fog, or not fog as when I started my walk. It was just wild!
