Back to WWII again with a Canadian vehicle this time. Not sure if it's a I or II model, but the gun mounting makes it pretty clear it's a Sexton. Essentially it's 25 pounder on tracks, using either a modified M3 medium tank or Grizzly chassis (Grizzly is basically a Canadian Sherman); primarily these vehicles saw service with the Commonwealth forces, in large part to resolve the logistical issues that the M7 Priest and it's 105mm gun caused. To be fair though, the British really only saw the Priest as a stop-gap until they had something better than the Bishop, although I'm pretty sure they still used Priests even after the introduction of the Sexton.
As far as combat history goes, the Sexton received its first taste of combat in Italy under the British Eighth Army, as well as seeing usage in France and the Low Countries. Generally speaking they saw action wherever British/Canadian/Commonwealth troops were, providing artillery support as needed.
Full transparency, when I first came to this place back in 2016, maybe 2017/2018, I was actually caught off guard by the fact it was a Sexton and not a Priest. My dumbass self genuinely didn't think there'd be any Sextons in the states. I was clearly wrong, haha.
