explanation: the characters in Poseidon's IP have a feral form they can switch to, but James' switchover is broken; his brain does so instead of his form (regular characters stay sentient in feral form). he gets ridiculously doglike and can get stuck in it. this leads to him fathering a hatchling on a feral black dragon (Silvia?). and when he DOES manage to achieve a body shift, he goes Kaiju, instead. he also never loses the clothes in feral brain or Kaiju.
