Type-17 “Interceptor” Scout

Armament: Six Type- V Heavy Plasma Cannons, Eight Type-VI Heavy Rail Cannons( Four above type-V hvy plasma, two on either side of dual slip space cores), Six Type-VII Mixed Turrets (Two rails outer, One Plasma inner), Six Type- XI Light Single Barrel Rail Turrets, Sixteen Type-IX Dual Rail Turrets
Details:
First encountered on Primous III these where once thought to be the main capitol ships of the To’krath threat and as such where treated with little regarded as little more than an minor threat as they where easily taken down by 2-3 Marauder Class Light destroyers. On Endorus I however , it was proven these where just the scouts when a small platoon of type-17’s showed up with Type-07 Assault carriers , Type-52 Cruisers, Type – 66 Raiding craft and two Type 99- Super capitol ships. The defending fleet of 21 Kesada class frigates and a dozen Marauder’s where woefully unprepared for such a fight after the admiral in charge had fought off a few attackers sending the rest of his fleet back to Earth. As such first day losses exceeded 60%. As such these ships where reclassed and a new threat level was placed upon them as type 17’s rarely travel alone now.
