Last little exhibit from the Evansville Wartime Museum. Basically this exhibit is dedicated to another one of Evansville's industrial participants during the war, Bucyrus-Erie. From what is shown here, they were mainly building heavy machinery for construction or excavation purposes. The company itself was (and still is) based in Ohio, and was apparently involved in the creation of the Panama canal (their machinery anyhow).
The plant in Evansville was built around 1914, according to the archives over at USI, and was closed down in the early 80s.
