On Christmas Eve, Alison was getting ready for bed, when there was a knock at the door during supper. Alison went to go and answer it, but only found a shoebox at the door. It wasn't a prank, the box was real light and there wasn't any kind of rigging to it. She took the lid off the box and found a rather pretty crystal inside, it kind of reminded her of one from a science experiment that you could get in a chemistry kit, but she's never seen one this big before. The heart of the gift got to Alison, it was very pretty. She smiled as she brought it inside and laid it out for her family to see. Maybe she couldn't take it to school, but it was something pretty to treasure at home, and treasure it she did.
