Fox opens up the present and gasps. He pulls out a sweater.
"My goodness..."
"Oh, wow. I didn't remember it being so tactlessly bright - I mean, it's an old sweater anyway, so..."
"No, I get it!"
"You do?" - "What you think?
"It's your invitation for one of those ugly sweater Christmas parties I've been hearing about."
"..."
"Yes! That's right! We're having one next weekend. You're invited, of course"
"We have?
*Cat's elbow pokes wolf to his side*
"Ah! Yeah, we have that party coming up."
"Thank you! I'll have to check my work schedules, but I would love to come. Thank you so much!""Thanks for the sweater and the invite. See you on the weekend."
"Yeah! See you there, Tommy."

*door slam*
"That's sweet of you to give out that old sweater."
"Yes. To a guy, you up picked from the streets for a surprise dinner."
"His an old class mate. Besides, you have plenty of useless stuff in your closets. Early spring cleaning!"
"Don't get distracted. You're throwing a party to him that isn't there."
"Wrong! We're throwing a party! It's a great idea, and there's plenty of time to invite all the furs in. Also, Tommy's a nice guy."
"eh, sure. But please. You're only doing this 'cause you feel sorry for the buddy, and you find him cute."
"Well, yeah! That too. But isn't it nice to make someone happy, while having a good time together. Isn't it what this whole month is all about?"
"... you really want me to say that. Fine, yes. It's nice to make people feel included and appreciated in these stressful days."
"See? That wasn't so hard, was it?"
"I would still appreciate, if you text me earlier the next time you grab a random fur from the streets to home."
"I make no promises!~ Oh, that reminds me~"

"You need a new sweater~"
