On Christmas Eve, I was playing Wingspan with 
jackthelizard and his family. One of the cards we pulled out was the European Roller. I saw their colorful plumage and odd spine-shaped feathers around their neck. I decided right then, "I must draw a TF of this bird." Naturally, I used my boyfriend as the model.
It took me 3 days to draw this, one more than my usual for pencil drawings, but I'm pleased with how my birdy boyfriend turned out.
