Geri was old enough to know when he miiiight have wandered too far from his sitter. But not quite old enough to care. He'd found a stick he liked and went to town chewing it. With a small grassy berm at his back, he watched the ravens in the distance and listened for any strange sounds, and sniffed for strange scents on the wind, all while chewing a very satisfying birch branch.

The snowy scapes of Icewind Dale north of the Spine were often full of danger, and even adults needed to keep a studious watch for any subtle signs of predators.

It wasn't too long before his sitter, one of the winter wolves that was a regular around the camps, came padding along around some trees, catching the gaze of the guilty, but apathetic eyes of Geri chewing on his stick.

Geri and Mikhail were a pair of fellas I played as (as adults) in a Dungeon of the Mad Mage dnd game streamed live on twitch!
