Back when I was doing cartoons for SF fanzines in the 1980, I supported the candidacy of David Langford. He went on to win the annual fund from the UK to US another large convention, usually but not always the Worldcon. (On alternate years, the candidate went from the US to the UK. Although Canadians are allowed to run, none has ever gotten enough votes. Both I and Mike Glicksohn, arguably one of the half-dozen best known Canadians in fandom at the time have run for the fund but both lost in our year.) In any case, I backed the winner that year, Dave Langford, the current editor of the SF newszine, Ansible. I did did four separate cartoons, two of which I scanned a day or two ago. This one is the most elaborate, and depicts Dave materializing in some other universe he wasn’t expecting.
