Arrangement: Major Man Theme (The Powerpuff Girls)
Done as a duet for piano accompanying alto saxophone, this is my simplified take on the theme for the superhero Major Man, as seen in the original "The Powerpuff Girls" episode "Major Competition." The lyrics are as follows:
Major Man, a hero to everyone,
Fights his battles to the end, never giving up!
Seeking justice, never far away,
Always there to help the weak, fending off the bad!
Loved by all, you'll never let us down,
We'll never lose the faith, for Major Man!
Seeking truth defeating lies,
Flying high through clear blue skies,
Finding ways to protect us all,
He's our man standing strong and tall!
Major Man, a hero to everyone,
Fights his battles to the end, never giving up!
Loved by all, you'll never let us down,
We will never lose the faith, for Major Man!
However, as the episode reveals, the impossibly perfect superhero is not all that he is cracked up to be.
