It's a fantasy town idler, make town, attract adventurers, sell them stuff, buy their stuff, post quests to have them get better stuff to bring you. Doesn't seem to be any active time pressures beyond check in every 12 hours to re-light the moon. It's done in that same kind of Faux ZX Spectrum style that Baba is You made popular.
