This is the third installment of the Chinese Whispers storyline. I tried to add a bit of historical stuff to the story, mainly the meal given would be considered pretty standard on a ship of that time. Only i did not want to grouse out those reading it in pointing out that most of the time those same biscuits were infested with meal worms as the trips went on. The fruit is citrus and on ships it was added to the meal to fight scurvy but they normally ate through all of their supply before reaching their destination rather then let it all spoil. Also contrary to popular belief pirate ships don't roam the seas to just prey on any ship they pass, no the oceans are too big for that. They ambush them a few days out of port after tailing them. They have to earn a regular income to keep their crew's happy and the best way of doing that is to set up ambushes.

My original plan was to document the battle but as i wrote it in the point of view of icefur i realized that would not fit as shi would be kept away from it both by the crew and by hir fear.

Redsky Is a tribute character, I made him as a way of thanking for such a wonderful species. I do wonder what shir goldfur would think if shi knew one of hir distant decedents would terrorize the seas of hir adopted home of chakona.
