The fight begins! Looks like Rick might not have been as ready as he initially thought... At least Safrina doesn't look like she intends to take it easy on him.
This is the start of the fight sequence, and I put it off for as long as possible. Fight scenes are hard to draw! However, I'm glad that I pushed myself and really drew things out, moving past my anxiety about screwing it up. We'll see how I do with the rest of the pages, but I'm looking forward to sharing it with you all. There's not a lot of dialogue in the next few pages, but that's to be expected with combat. Considering how much redrawing I'm going to have to do with the next couple of pages, they may take slightly longer to post, but we'll see.
So far, this is probably my favorite page. I really enjoy the first panel, especially, and not just because of the big foot in the center of it! The big problem that doing this page has shown me, though, is that consistent lighting is going to take some attention on my part... I'm already thinking of how to potentially simply my process for the next comic idea that I want to do.
