Summary: With the truth of the curse laid bare, so, too, is the rest of the vixen. Acceptance permeates the couple, and with arousal in the air, the two foxes give themselves over to their feelings.
Β Β The parking area is as sparse as earlier, but Maya is still thankful they spent the time to clean up. Reeking of sexual gratification isn't the most socially acceptable thing, even in areas like this. She turns from Feldspar's side as they reach her vehicle, and before he can speak, she stretches up and gives him a small lippy kiss, their nose pads touching together. "Thank you, again, Feld, for not judging me. You're awesome."
Β Β He returns the kiss with a prolonged nuzzle, mindful of where his whiskers touch, and takes her hands into his and squeezes them. "Of course, Maya. I'm just glad I could help you through the anxiety. I may not have any experience with curses or anything like that, but my nephew struggles a lot with panic attacks." He dips his ears some, his mind reflecting on some hidden struggles. She still has a lot she can learn about the silver stud, it seems.
Β Β "Well, you were very sweet and comforting. He's lucky to have an uncle like you." Placing one of his hands on her hips, she frees her hand and traces a claw along his upper arm. Her ears dip slightly and her tail tucks. With a deep breath and doing her best to channel the confidence he is often putting forth, she straightens her ears and asks, "So, when can I see you again, Spark?"
Β Β His ears perk at her second use of his nickname. He puts his other hand against her hips and begins to sway them side to side, tail swishing behind him. "How about~ I look into those music venues I mentioned and get back with you in a few days? I'll even make sure there's nothing to set off your sensitive nose this time." He blows on it with a tease, and she crinkles it in response Both smile with a mix of humor and trust.
Β Β "I'll send you a list," comes her joking reply. "But yes, I think I'd like that." She steps in for one more embrace, hands wrapping around his back, before they awkwardly part ways. A short jog turned into quite the day, and despite her feeling of dread, this managed to be a really positive experience for her. Maya gazes off at the departing tod, eyes drawn to the tip of his tail that's unable to stifle a happy wag.
Β Β "Haaahhmmm..." A small sigh escapes her, and she dips into her vehicle to leave. Sliding her tail into the seatback before buckling up, she reaches into her pocket for her keys. At the same time, she pulls the detritus from her other pocket to throw it away in the small trash bin she has and pauses for a moment, reflecting. It's nice to feel accepted, she tells herself, before discarding the items and letting her mind drift as she pulls out of the park and heads home.
Author's Notes: Goodbyes are a difficult thing, especially after experiencing strong highs. Thankfully for our pair, they have shown interest in meeting up again very soon, so I'm certain everything will work out for them.
But... what of the curse? What of their earlier dates? How did they meet? Allow me to step forward for a moment and share some of what's been going on behind the scenes...
Ahem. So! As I said at the beginning, this story was originally written two years ago. It was the first story I've written that I really worked hard to craft into something with a professional touch. For me to write something, I must be able to visualize it. To live within it. That feeling is rare, but for this, I could see the path. Thus, one early December day, I sat down, and began writing.
This tale took around two weeks to write and edit. Since then, I've continued to explore the characters within my mind, to further challenge myself with other writing, and to plan what I want to do going forward. At the top of my list is Maya and Feldspar. I want to tell the full story of their relationship. I want to touch on the highest highs and lowest lows of her curse. I want to bring stability to her life by the end.
And beyond that, I want to explore so many anthropomorphic concepts that I only loosely touched on with Spring Snow. For this story, I kept them in a mostly-human world, inhabited by fox people. But, for what's to come, I want it to be their world. I want to write something that is lived-in by fluffy fox people, who deal with fluffy fox people problems using fluffy fox people thoughts and senses.
So the next time you hear of May-May and Spark, they won't quite be the same pair you read about here. It will be something deeper. My notes for this world are many pages long; some will matter, some won't. I also have already written a prologue that tells of the two's meeting from Feldspar's perspective, and a general outline of the adventure I want to share.
Snow Blossoms will be the name of the new adventure, and while it may be a long time still before I can share anything, know that I'm always daydreaming, always thinking.

This is to me a sign of how much care and energy you put into your characters. It takes a lot of time to write, but there's more time brainstorming and thinking about what can happen before anything is written down. Even your dreams play a part in your characters and I think that is awesome!
The final part here has a sweet feel to it with assisting for panic attacks and the nose nuzzle. The characters are fun to read about and cheer for. I hope that no matter what artwork or writing happens with the characters in the future you enjoy what is created with them =)

I certainly will! Thanks for following along to the end. Aside from commenting, taking the time to share it with your friends is the best thing you can do for me. And the same goes for them, if they like it too. I lack visibility and, well, it's tough to gain as a writer.
I'll continue to think about these two, and if it becomes within my talent, I hope I can achieve my full goals. Even if that takes me years from now, it's something I want to strive for.

You are welcome! I will take time to reach out to other people I know to share your stories with them.
Writing is something I love but it is tough to get new people into reading stories. Deviantart is where some of my stories are and I post some random commissions I got from other people, and it is sadly very clear that art gains visibility because of immediate details being seen. The speed of the online culture also is harsh for writers X_X
In all seriousness I feel similar with my own writing. I am glad I saw your stories =)
Enjoy the smaller weekly goals and the main full goals you have with your characters and stories ^^

Amazing job!! *applauds* :D I enjoyed every bit of this from start to finish, and I can tell that you really poured your heart into it, my friend. This may be one of the best things I've read in a while.
So well written! Incredibly vivid, and very detailed. All the sneezes were cute. ;) Maya's curse was a fun twist. And the sex scene was a great cherry on top, lol. What I really loved about this was that it was a well developed romance story! Not just some over-the-top lewd fest, which I see a lot, lol. This was quite a refreshing read.
So many relatable feels! Especially when it comes to dating. Nevousness, anxiety, self-consciousness, empathy, passion, intimacy, you had it all!
I am loving these characters too! Maya and Feld are so sweet. :) I very much hope that we get to see more of them at some point. Thank you very much for sharing this! And keep up the good work

Glorious praise indeed! I'm happy to exceed expectations!
I enjoy expressing emotion, and I think too often people will default to anger or jealousy or greed. There's a wide range of feelings and facing those short-comings is an important part of life.
There will certainly be more Maya and Feld stuff, but if I do try to go the novel route, I won't be able to publish more than a prologue or random snippits online. Still, I want to explore their lives and build a world for them.
