This is Yoji, one of many characters I've had kicking around in my head for months. Felt good to finally draw him. He's some yokai of sorts who spends his days accompanying a female oni and embarking on WACKY ADVENTURES or something like that. He is very fluffy.
Originally, I did this by hand while hanging with a friend the night before my birthday. My tablet had a short in the cord, so I was trying to practice traditional media in case I wouldn't be able to fix it. Lucky thing electrical tape did the trick, as I didn't even have the right colors to finish this. And this looks about 100x better now, I've become so bad at drawing on paper because of how constrained the space feels.

When you get used to digital art, nine times out of ten it's hard to revert back to traditional because you're essentially spoiled by all the benefits digital can offer. xD From being able to zoom in impossibly close to fix a little nit-picky thing, to working in layers and not having to erase a sketch and just hide it, to the ever godly ctrl+z keyboard combination. It's nice. XD
