This time, I am highlighting an existing invention rather than a new idea. This is the modular shelving system that my mother and her companion built in 1981 and which serves us to this day. It is designed to not require any wall mounting and to adjust for an uneven floor or ceiling. The materials used for it can be found in any hardware/home-building store.
