I don't think I've done a straight profile picture of it before. The length and fin shape can be tricky for some... so here is something that should help clarify what it is she actually has going on back there.

Remember though, she isn't a pure otter. The tail, as well as her teeth come from the Dunkleosteus, the combination causing other abnormalities in her body to take it further away from the otter-base.

I also did an alternate hairstyle. Looks nice and more to the point it's easier to translate into other styles.

And with that the weekend is over! Back to work I go.

E: now with 20% less tail.

Wow...but that IS quite an amazing-looking tail.

You I've been watching you for a while & I have to say that I find her more beautiful than all those "busty Babes" I mean she has the flaws that seem to be the things that make a girl less then perfect ... flat Chest , scars ... Tail seems a little large compared to the base of it, almost like someone took a thicker version of the base and pinched it down. Just a thought.

Given that her tail looks possibly kinda meaty instead of mostly fur, I'm pretty shocked she can stand up straight and hold it out like that. The things gotta weigh quite a bit o~o

It looks like roughly 25-35 lbs.... which isn't much actually. Think of your average overweight person... for it to effect her to this point it would have to weight several times that amount. Besides, she has a killer set of legs on her... I think she can manage =)

...she's part Dunkleosteus? I'm trying to grasp the concept of an otter mating with a prehistoric fish (Unless I am confusing the creature in question with another one, or Mikhaila is some kind of Russian experiment). Interesting hybrid though!

Hmm, I really wonder how much it weighs. Is it lighter than it looks? I can imagine the muscles and bones structure required to keep it aloft, especially if its prehensile.

It's roughly 25-35 lbs and it's actually a muscle/fluid bladder structure. No bone. The tail has two states... this one being the primary.

The secondary state is "dehydrated" so to speak. Besides getting less bulky the "fin" gets thinner and brittle, almost feathery when it starts splitting. It takes weeks to transition between one state and another (because it requires changes in diet and her exposure to water).

It actually is pretty dangerous if something isn't done to remedy the situation - she risks permanent damage since she doesn't actually know that if can grow back should something happen. It's never painful though - there are no nerves in the fin.

Her tail was always meant to be as long as she is tall.... but I think in the first incarnation I may have went overboard! I updated this picture AGAIN with a tail size between the two versions so far.

I probably shouldn't be so picky... but if I wasn't she probably wouldn't exist right now~
