Strangely, I didn't even notice it, I thought it wasn't the scrapping of 4th wall

That means a character know he/she/it is in a comic(like Deadpool) or/and speaks to a reader(Samael "The King of Time" out the manga "blue exorcist" )

As always, the guys look great. Plus, the confrontation between the cat and the dog. That's what we want. And yes, Zudrec seems to have forgotten about the saying about a sleeping dog that should not be woken up. And Gerv is just that dog, and he's going to show this cougar his place.

*Fourth wall breaking*

Zudrec's knowledge and understanding of the current situation is based on what was written in Cobby's letter, and since he must still mourn his death he can't think straight and see that the situation evolved into something unexpected (like Gharn evaporating into thin air with the artifacts).
What he still doesn't know or i guess doesn't try to know is who was Cobby's "reliable help" during his plan of escape (written in the letter in part 2 pg 80).
I'm just waiting for one of them to mention Cobby as i think it will be the only thing stopping them from killing each other at this point.

I'm sure they can get along, but they're enemies at the moment.

Bob and Gervic both separately confirmed Gharn's and the artifacts disappearance. Cragenwall all seem to share this idea of superiority. Bad combination.

Zudrec has a point that in peace time those totally powerful artefacts would be hoarded as weapons for the next wartime. Only problem is that they went poof when the war was still on not after it (we only have a small cease fire iirc) so hoarding them than and not use them would have been a fool's errand.

I am also quite sure that Zudrec's stuborness to see the facts is because his mind is still clouded over the loss of his love Cobby and he sees getting those artifacts back as giving his mate's death meaning.

Just realized that there even would be a possibility to show Zudrec what happened that day with Gervic, Gharn, Bob and Cobby. There is still the time altering device that Bob built which should be powered again by now. But of course our Chimera would need to remember that it exists and than get the hothead Zudrec to listen for the first time

I don't think the machine was intact, because Bob was punished for his crimes in the third part, and it seems to me that his property was taken away. But yes, Zudrec is stubborn, and he just doesn't want to listen and hear.

I was thinking: maybe this “CATMEAT” hopes to use these artifacts as Bob intended? Indeed, when combined, they are capable of changing the course of events of the past. Bob planned all this to go back in time and save his friends from death, right? What if Zudrek wants to try to change the past, to dissuade Cobby from the “mission” that became for him... um the “events on the pirate ship”. Save Cobby's life. Although, this would definitely cause a “butterfly effect”. If the past would be rewritten, it would DEFINITELY end badly for Gervic. He simply wouldn't have an ally on the ship. And besides, who will guarantee that after changes in the past, their “present time” would not become hundreds of times worse than what they have now?

I agree. If Zudrec combines the artifacts, which is hardly possible, then he will rewrite history, and Gervic, of course, will not turn into a chimera, but he will not become free, as you actually said. But I think that if the guys had agreed, they would have returned to the day when Cobby died, and Zudrec would have saved him, perhaps even at the cost of his life. But no, this cat decided to just break everything, not realizing that he and Cobby were the same couple that Gerv and Vlagg are
