it ran it through the first level, the trouble didnt start till after i had turned the game off and had something to eat then came back to it and turned it on

If you already updated your drivers, then I dunno if intel has some sort of control program like ATI and NVidia do. But if Intel does have a control program you should get a new copy of that too, because for instance, awhile ago ATI switched to a legacy driver series and I went to update my drivers, and then nothing worked right until I downloaded the new ATI Catalyst Control.

But anywho, if Intel doesn't have a control program, maybe you should try rolling your driver back.

Oh! You could also try disabling any graphics accelerators you have installed.

Well, it said that the Intel Graphics Accelerator Drivers were malfunctioning.

Also: You have the wrong drivers. Especially if it says that they're for XP
