E.M.M.A. is a sentient person who had their original brain augmented to run on multiple brains. Bodies were cloned from her original and then augmented with cyberware to network them and increase her strength and speed. This additional brain power essentially increased her processing power, allowing her to become very intelligent and able to multitask incredibly well, because of the firmware installed in all three bodies she is also able to partition her mind for specific tasks for each unit.
She is the first person to ever run three platforms at once, making her unique. The units CAN separate for jobs, however they do need increased time to recompile once they gather back together. the longer they are separate from each other, the longer and the more uncomfortable a compile session becomes. Also, she does notice a 'cloud' or 'foggy' sensation when a unit is solo, this is because of the decreased brain power that she quickly became used to having access to.

This is a really cool character! It's a really interesting spin on the "robot" character in an ensemble cast.
Do the individual bodies tend to develop their own personalities? I noticed in the group shot with the rest of the mercenary team one of the EMMAs seemed a bit different than the others. I can see the individual bodies hosting particular aspects of the original Emma's personality (eg, one is more aggressive, one is more analytical, etc). I suppose it could depend on the circumstances at any given moment and mission requirements. Definitely can lead to all manner of shenanigans if EMMA is feeling mischievous.

In my mind, you nailed it, she partitions her brain, which likely slightly alters the personality, more focus, more aggressive, etc, whatever is needed, however their core personality is always the same. They like the same music, food, etc, and when they turn off the partitioning and resync, they 'snap' back 100%
I'm now wondering how EMMA feels about noticeable drifts in personality after being partitioned or separated for so long. As you said, it makes synchronization longer and even painful, but at what point does the separate EMMA become a different person and what would they feel about that? That would certainly keep me up at night, wondering how many "different" me's I've destroyed over time.
I've debated this, is one of the bodies 'prime' I don't know, I do know it doesn't matter, the clones are 100% so if prime 'dies' it 'doesn't matter' in that a new body can be grown. Although I'm sure I'll have to come up with a 'cost' of losing a body, but the point of this design would be 'hey this person is good at every job we give them, lets give them more bodies because we have the technology, and her brain is very compatible to this procedure.'
Also, in a sense, she might be immortal, because the bodies can be cycled out as they age, as long as the tech to do so remains

I really love this! They (She) looks really cute and the concept is super cool! I also like how she remains organic cause as suggested in the other thread, it makes explaining how she ended up that way and how she control the bodies a lot more interesting and fun to write/think about.
