Second Chances 03
Ever have one of those dreams where it felt more real than real? Do you remember smelling things? The feel of them? Warmth? The breeze? Damn, this dream is far mroe real than this persn realizes, but that's the way their mind is rationalizing the fact they are walking on paws instead of feet.
Wonder what they will do when they realize there's no waking up from this fantasy...
More grasslands. I'm getting better at doing the grass effects. I like the results. Next page will be more revealing in certain ways...

I've not only been on a steam locomotive, I've ridden along inside the cab, getting an opportunity to shovel coal for a couple of miles along with another guest. Very very cool, very noisy, and full of sensory overload- heat, smells, noisy, vibrations, balance, sights- everything constantly changing.
I've never 'seen' my fursona or any of my characters in a dream.

well hun, i worked at Knott's Berry Farm, and my job was the large steam train, i was a conductor. and i worked a summer with the 2 locomotives and the rest of the train. so i know it very well. but to be smelling and feeling all of it in a dream is just awesome.
and as for my fursona, yes i had coony come to me in a dream and he gave me a wet dream. hehehehe it was wet. total murr.

The POV is needed at this point. It's really tempting to just draw a nice external view, but I'm waiting for a certain panel before I can do so.
There's plenty of stories of the transformation itself, but rarely do they deal with the 'what now?' part afterwards.

After watching Star Trek with my dad when I was very young, I decided that I wanted to become a Science Fiction fan. The first book that consciously decided that This is what I wanted to take an interest in, was a Chalker title called Web of the Chozen. Later on in years, I met the man when Portland hosted a worldcon, and it turned out that he wrote that book on a bet, which he won, that he could write and sell a title in a month. From there, Midnight at the well of souls, and all the many others that he wrote passed through my reading stacks.
only thing he wrote that I didn't like were the G.O.D. Inc. books. more twists than gordian knot.
I knew Furry would be my niche long before it came to be, with the furs in the well world and the Pride of Chanur books, I was well on my way to furrydom, like you, long before I knew what that could possibly be...

I did have a crazy-realistic dream once where I was turned into a female skunktaur, and lived for a week like that before waking up. Right as I had finally worked up the nerve to go into a store and buy a fur brush, too! >.<
Stairs were interesting to navigate. ^_^;;
I remember using a line similar to "You know how bad a normal skunk smells when it sprays? I weigh about 40 or 50 times as much as a normal skunk." to scare someone who was pissing me off, though.

Mirror's Edge is a videogame where you're a character running and jumping around building rooftops, but because your tools are your hands and feet, that's what you see a lot of on the screen, since it's a first person view. So I was makin' a pun, mirROO's edge. :p

Yeah, I've had to deal with some things like that in earlier dreams I had before. Thicker hands with paw padding when picking some things up or dialing a phone, trying to speak with a muzzle (had to shift making sounds from different areas of my mouth... er, if that makes sense...), keeping track of where your ears point, dealing with how annoying it is to -really- smell dirt and water... It's kind of annoying breaking in a new body with features you're not used to~
