For the long and short of it, Trish became a genie but found a way to free herself from binding. She has all the powers, still has some flaws with them. One of these flaws is a compulsion to grant wishes. When she hears someone wish for something, she has a struggle to not try and grant it, it annoys her so she often tries to avoid people.
