On May 3rd, Turkism Day is celebrated in Turkic countries and among the Turkic peoples of other countries. Or, more simply put, Turkic Solidarity Day.
The history of this date originates in the Trial of the Turanist Racists, which took place in Turkey between September 7th, 1944 and March 29th, 1945. This was a trial of 23 activists of pan-Turkism and pan-Turanism. Zeki Validi Togan, Alparslan Türkesh, Nihal Atsız, his brother Necdet Sancar, Reha Oguz Türkkan, Cihat Savas Fer, Nurullah Baryman, Fethi Tevetoglu, Cebbar Shenel and Cemal Oguz Ocal were sentenced to various preventive measures.
Despite this seemingly contradictory date, I still believe that there is nothing wrong with the Turkic peoples living in peace and harmony with each other. I am not alien to the ideas of such ideologists of pan-Turkism as Ismail Gasprinsky, Gayaz Iskhaki, Yusuf Akchura, Zaki Validi Togan, Abdurashid Ibragimov, Mirsaid Sultan-Galiyev and others. I do not support the idea of Great Turan, I am against neo-Ottomanism and fascism. I am against everyone submitting to Turkey or any other Turkic country. I am against dividing the Turks into pure and unclean. I do not approve of racism, chauvinism, Nazism, sexism, fascism and other bad "isms". I believe that although we are close to each other historically, religiously and culturally, the sovereignty of peoples is undeniable and limited only by international law.
Let's not forget that Turkic peoples live not only in Turkic countries and autonomies of other countries. They live in other countries, and in some of them it is very comfortable than in Turkic ones. Therefore, I am exclusively for the cultural unity of the Turkic peoples, but not for the political one.
Brothers-Turks (Tatars, Azerbaijanis, Turks, Kazakhs, Uzbeks, Turkmen, Kyrgyz, etc.), do not quarrel with each other, but strengthen unity. Don't forget your native language and culture. Remember that we are different, but we still need to be together. May Allah be pleased with us. Amine.
