Kicking and swinging, as a desperado dangles from the end of a rope, though at least it's not the gallows. It's possible maybe that in this case it's a corrupt sheriff, looking to get a confession from a convenient scapegoat, getting a coyote cowboy's boots off to tickle his tender soles and toes until he'll admit his 'guilt', even if he's innocent at least on this occasion.
