If you mean chapters, the fast pace right now is because a whole bunch is already written! I'm currently in the process of converting the past 6+ months of writing to FA-compliant BBCode formatting, but right now there 24 chapters (+extras!) over on my Cohost account.
As for how long the novel will be when all is said and done... I honestly can't tell you! I have an story arc outlined, but how long it takes to reach each beat is not remotely set in stone.
