Cody Moreno and Dominic "Buck" Donner, in a remix of previous art/sort-of redraw of the one time I drew them together back in 2018.
As usual, I notice the contrast between the new and old versions being that the newer versions have a far higher level of polish to them, but that perfectionism and nearly "industrialized" quality comes at the expense of the fun but flawed qualities of the older version... the coloring and shading look far better, the proportions are more "correct", the use of photos as a background adds a certain uniqueness and personal connection to the art as though in some ways these characters can truly accompany me on my travels and keep me company when I am alone, but at the same time the poses are often stiff and repetitive now as art becomes more of an obligation or routine than something I truly have fun with anymore, and I find myself more interested in coloring and shading than in the actual linework.

Kinda felt like with all the bummer art of Buck I had lately, where he's been exploring his own Tough Feelings, he deserved a little bit of the happy art he's mostly known for again.
While Buck is definitely a free spirit and a drifter and often disappears for a while (and is rather promiscuous), Cody knows that Buck will always come back to him. I really like the dynamics between these two, with Cody being skittish, anxious, shy and nervous while Buck is confident, outgoing and adventurous, and the size difference between the two adds a bit to it as well--somehow, the small and shy Cody Moreno is the one that managed to tame the Big Bad Buck Donner. I really should explore their couple dynamic more, as any resulting art would either be ridiculously wholesome or surprisingly kinky--or simultaneously both at the same time, somehow!

Awe I loved hearing about these two! And it was neat to see the old art.
A lot of your recent pictures lately remind me of photos (not just the photo background) and I wonder if there is a photographer character lurking behind all of these and taking photos of the people in town/your world.
