Miniature Lugia Plush TF w/ Short Story [Sketch by Norn]
I haven't been able to sleep the past few nights, so
TheNornOnTheGo sent me this tag that could turn anything into a Pokémon plush, specifically a lugia. But before I could decide which random object to turn into a plush, I could feel my skin pinching itself where I had tucked it inside the back pocket of my pants. I thought it was due to the seams of my pants being a bother, or that my skin decided to be more sensitive than usual.
Either way, I was surprised when I noticed my belly was starting to swell. Lifting up my shirt revealed a soft light blue fur growing from my skin, surrounded by white fur that worked its way to my limbs. My fingers thickened as my hands grew to become more like wings than hands - they were practically twice the size of my head! Which, by the way, was stretching backwards and forming an almost fin-like shape as my hair disappeared. As I felt this new bump, my eyes shifted to the side as a soft membrane formed, mimicking the fin-like shape of the back of my head.
I also started to shrink. It was subtle at first, but soon I found myself uncapable of looking over my desk, and then my chair. They began to tower over me as I continued to dwindle in size. My mouth was open as I watched my everything grow around me in awe, but I couldn't close it as it stretched to form a large grin. It was made permanent as stitches held my elongating jaw into its position. Before I shrunk too small, I decided to climb onto the bed, the handles of the drawers below the bed acting as footholds to hoist myself up. By this point I was smaller than the plushies that sat beside my pillow, and I realized that I would soon be joining them. A part of me was intimidated by the thought of becoming a toy, but the other was giddy and wanted to embrace it. That latter part was growing the more fur replaced my skin and the more I shrank.
Despite me dwindling past a quarter of my usual height, my shirt tore apart as pairs of dark blue rectangular plates sprouted along my back. My pants also struggled to hang on to my swelling legs as the insides were filled with soft cotton. They ripped apart as my new plane-like tail sprouted, revealing the stitches that kept my limbs together. My feet became digitigraded as I lost my big toe and pinky toe, but the overall larger size of my remaining toes were enough to support my lighter-than-usual form. And as I became the size of a doll, a zipper formed on my chest, giving access to a box I could feel forming inside me - a voice box.
"Lugia gia!" I tried to speak, only to find that I couldn't. My voice was limited to a digitalized pokespeech that only let me say the Pokémon's name. This inability to communicate was going to be a problem, especially if I wanted to ask someone for help turning me back. But honestly, I didn't mind - I felt quite comfortable in this new form. Everything about my body was so soft and cuddly, from my squishy belly to my waggable tail. The fluff on my wings and feet made everything I touched and walked on feel like it was made out of fur.
Of course, I didn't dismiss the fact that everything was gigantic - I would have to find a way to traverse furniture now the size of buildings. I could recall lugias being able to fly, but a few test flaps proved that theory wrong. Was it because my "wings" were made of fur instead of feathers? Or maybe being a plushie meant I didn't have the flight muscles to produce lift (or any muscles, for that matter). Oh well. At least I can sleep in a bed the size of a football field.
"Lu..." I sighed as I climbed and flopped onto my pillow. It felt like I was embracing a cloud, my downy fur doubling the pillow's softness. My stress melted away as the worries that had plagued me for so long were replaced by fluffy thoughts. Plushies didn't have to worry about school, work, food, or paying rent. The only thing that mattered was the warmth and comfort I now offered. I could feel my body relax as my eyes dropped, my stitched-on smile as genuine as it looked.
I'll definitely be sleeping better tonight.
