Pride Month vibes featuring Meryl Garnet.

I know June is Pride Month and last year I managed to draw a few relevant pieces (and had to answer questions about how both Skunk Boy and myself IRL can be asexual but still have fetishes), but with how I tend to just isolate myself for extended periods and churn out content weeks or even months in advance, I'm not sure how much Pride Month content I'll have this year since I'm just not feeling it.
While I wasn't super happy with how I drew her face in last year's efforts, she looks a bit better here. I unintentionally made her a little rounder this time around than in previous appearances, but she still looks pretty good. Whether I'll get around to drawing her together with Serena the Hyena again this year, who knows, but there's no real reason I need to save (or rush) doing so specifically for Pride Month.
I also decided that, much like I do with Ash and the trans pride flag colors, I wanted to try to subtly (or not so subtly) start including the lesbian pride flag colors into Meryl's normally very monochrome goth look, but my favoring the purples along with her grey, white, and black fur colors sorta makes her look like a walking representation of ace pride instead. If and when I draw her fully clothed again, I think using the shades of orange on her top and/or some other small accessories like pins would contrast well and look great with her usual black vest and shorts. Overall, the purple hair highlights and the little stars on her cheeks in the pride flag colors give her a sort of "glam goth" or "glam rock" look that I actually really like for her.
The heart pendant on her collar is pretty blatant, though, and is actually sorta inspired by an ace pride heart pendant that a friend from work wears sometimes.
Random tangent, in terms of pure aesthetics, I think the gay male pride flag has my favorite colors (the greens and blues are all shades I really like), followed very closely by the lesbian pride flag, so working either of those palettes into a character's fashion/aesthetics really isn't too difficult for me.
Characterization for Meryl Garnet is still pretty limited but pretty solid in what I do have: she's a goth/rocker/punk type, generally a supportive/ally sort, she's sex-positive and has played the field a bit before finding her dream girl and steady girlfriend Serena, and she balances "edgy" and "wholesome" in a way that could be really fun to explore if and when I find the motivation and inspiration to do so--I often mention that one of my favorite ideas for a couples' activity for Meryl and Serena is to have heavy metal blasting in their kitchen as they cook or bake together, with gratuitous use of profanity and innuendo as they bake and decorate the most adorable motherfucking cupcakes and cookies and very suggestively lick batter and frosting off of utensils while giving each other very suggestive glances.
