yeah,whenever I think of a person using a flamethrower I think of the Pyro from TF2. Pyro is insane and loves burning things and Pinky pie is just crazy,maybe insane

Right, 'tis slang for a grenade, particular the "classic" design used in WW2 and Vietnam:

Amusingly, one of it's replacements, the M67 (also linked off the above page), looks like a tiny apple or plum. :)

fascinating. I actually have a reproduction airsoft model of the grenade. and I've seen liter grenades (as you mentioned) in apple type shape
