Species name: Gale Lions
Age of maturity: 16
Life Span: 74 years
Height Average: Male 6'2", Female 5'8"
Biology: Gale Lions believe to have come from areas with a higher altitude, an explanation for their unusual biological differences from their anthro lion counterparts. Gale lines tend to have a much larger chest to house bigger lungs as well as a much stronger diaphragm. As a result these lions not only can breath in a lot more air than normal, but can also expel massive amounts of it. The strength which they can blow out air is believed to equate with a heavily windy day. Could force an unprepared person off their feet, or much worse if a group does so together. That same capacity to blow out is also utilized with in their throats with very powerful vocal cords, it's believed their roar can cause hearing loss if too close and even stun people if even closer. There is a downside to these abilities and it often comes from the same place as their power. because they breath in and take more air, anything within the air is more likely to get inside a gale lions lungs as well.
Culture: Gale Lions are more use to living in higher landscapes like mountains, but when that is not possible they will often try to find places with little to no pollution to protect their lungs from the what chemicals may be in the air. There's no real in between for this species. They either will try to thrive in an area above the smoke and clouds or will try to live somewhere with fresh and clean air, both are very isolating results. This is not always the perfect case; as the gale lions have such powerful voices, they are known to call to and from one another if families live in different areas spanning across mountain ranges or open fields. Often people will not realize they walked in on the neighborhood of Gale lions until they hear all the roaring.
Mythos: With how far Gale lions can communicate from, the territory of a community can span for miles. The roaring makes it clear to others that they are around and often where they are, but the distance the two are talking from could still leave a large gap of wilderness in between. This has often lead to rural communities mostly consisting of Gale Lions because they could both manage other farm hands across a field as well as communicate with other farmers that are miles away, no technological communications needed.
