(Chronologically this story takes place a few months ago. I realized while Todd and Whitney have been in art together I hadn't put pen to paper about how they met. Both of them are kindhearted geeks.)
Whitney Lilar, former plus sized model and card game enthusiast was a fairly new resident of Bakersville. While she could easily afford a house, she was currently renting a small apartment until a house would become available.
The Flemish giant was hanging out at the local card shop looking for some new card sleeves, and perhaps some fancier dice for game nights and tournament games here. Possibly a quick game if she could find an opponent.
Todd Baker was scouting around the place looking for some sleeves himself, they both spotted the shelf at the same time but somehow not each other until they both grabbed for the package of brilliant red sleeves.
Whitney: "Oh, 'ello there little fella."
Todd: "Hello hello, how's it going?"
Whitney: "Ace, and yourself?" The extra plush bunny said in a most delightful English accent.
Todd: "Just dandy. You new around here miss?"
Whitney: "Miss? No need to be formal love, you can call me Whitney. And yes I'm new in this little town, came 'ere from Antwerp."
Todd: "Well now, never met anyone from there. The name is Todd by the way." As he then took her hand and kissed it politely.
Whitney: "A little gentlefur are you? What say you and I have a little game if you brought your deck with you?"
Todd: "Sounds good, if you think you have what it takes?"
Whitney: "We are playing the same game right? Yu-gi-oh?"
Todd then cleared his throat and said: "It's time to d-d-d-duel!" She started laughing at the sight, but finding his enthusiasm charming. Whitney: "You are on Yugi-boy."
Todd: "Well, I would have something snappy to say back, but you are way to pretty to be Pegasus or Kaiba."
Whitney: "Wha? Now then don't think just because you are flirting means I'll go easy on you." She said with a wink.
The pair then sat down for a game. Todd using his Egyptian god deck, Whitney using a Phantom knight deck.
She opened by setting five cards face down, ending her turn.
Todd took a more aggressive approach, using Harpie's feather duster to destroy her facedown cards.
Then playing Double summon, followed by playing Ra's disciple who's effect summoned two more from his deck.
He then tributed all three to summon Obelisk the Tormentor, his big monster before going for a direct attack. Whitney then activated The Phantom Knights of Shadow Veil from her graveyard, chaining the three copies and summoning them as level four monsters in defense mode.
Obelisk destroyed one, Todd ended his turn by setting two cards face down.
Whitney: "Aggressive strategy. I like it when boys do it rough." Todd blushed bright red as Whitney started her turn.
She used her two remaining knights to XYZ summon Dark Rebellion XYZ Dragon, then using Raigeki to destroy Todd's monster before attacking directly. Or she would have if not for Todd's face down card: Scapegoat! Summoning four Sheep tokens, one of them taking the attack. Whitney then ended her turn.
Todd: "Nice play Whitney, but is it comparable to this?" He then activated The Breaking Ruin God to bring Obelisk back from the Graveyard.
Whitney: "Well this is going to be a cock-up on my end innit?"
Todd: "British slang right?" He said before activating Soul Energy MAX!!! tributing two of his tokens and dealing Whitney 4000 damage while also destroying her dragon. T
odd: "I now attack directly for game."
Whitney: "Good show Todd." She then shook his hand with a smile.
Todd: "I know we didn't have a bet or anything, but would you maybe like to go to lunch sometime and hang out Whitney? My treat of course."
Whitney: "That... sounds nice actually. Sure, could be nice hanging out with a polite little bloke for once." She said with a smile.
The two then had a lovely time. Getting along swimmingly as Whitney would put it. Visiting at each other's homes and even having a feeding session here and there for a bit of mutual enjoyment, though not exactly dating. More of a casual thing between friends.
And of course some deck building and testing for the card game they enjoyed.
