Way back in the way back, Archie Comics had just inked a deal to produce a Sonic the Hedgehog comic book and needed an artist. Managing editor Victor Gorelick asked Ken Mitchroney, Garrett Ho and myself to make sample pages to submit to Sega. He probably called us first because we had all worked on the Ninja Turtles line. Anyways, Sega turned us all down. Eventually Scott Shaw got the job, but after about three issues they gave it Dave Manik. They've gone through several artists since then.

This then is my sample page, based on a story sketch by Michael Gallagher. The joke here is that everyone is excited because Sonic was going to give Sally a date.
