Four shots fired, and four of these men went down. Shouting began as people went to draw, then four shots were fired again. Deathless, Circuit, Frost, and Fire kept shooting, as Tremor Max took off his minigun and started walking into view. Foresight just kept watch, given how her pistols didn't have the same range as the rifles her allies used. She watched as as two guys ran for the flat beds on one of the trucks and looked back started to rotate a large, multi-barrel, gun mount in their direction.

"Sir, They're planning to fire back." Foresight said, "Send in Sue and Shad already!"

"Sue, Shad, move in and engage on my mark." Firefight said into the comms, "Circuit, take out those missiles out, now!"

Circuit aimed her rifle away from the soldiers for a moment, and watched the other to Semi-trucks with missile racks on the back of them.




The missiles on the back of the trucks then went off, suddenly. They weren't raised for trajectory, and clearly not with any help from the enemies below. The missiles all launched into the cabs of the trucks and exploded wildly. Enemy soldiers turned between the gunfire they faced as well the disaster that just happened next to them. This earned Circuit and the others with her on the ridge at least two seconds. While they opened fire on those they could see, Foresight got down from their position and ran toward the trucks, guns out.

Quickly the enemy soldiers turned back toward the super weapons, but then came a wolfess rushing in with a pair of pistols of her own. Dashing past some of them, she went right for the last semi-truck and shot four rounds into the gunner. The six that remained turned between the wolfess that just appeared and what was up on the ridge, and then it became three as Foresight shot rounds from her judge pistols. Sue turned and shot one of the men aiming their rifle at her direction, then the last two suddenly burst with blood from their  necks as they collapsed. From now where, Shadowblade faded into view, whipping off the blood that got on her sword.

"Thanks for saving me some." She said as she looked to Foresight, "I was busy killing the other drivers." She then waved to the other super weapons "Get your butts down here!"




As they came down, Firefight walked for the last Semi-truck, "Choose who rides in which pickup. I'm placing charges on this to make sure they can't use it anymore."

"I'll take the rear." Tremor Max said, "Got to cover our exit, no matter where we go."

"Why doesn't Circuit sit with me?" Foresight said, "I we can ensure we take the right route up the mountain."

"Hey, who's the trained  pilot here?" Sue barked boastfully.

"But how are you gonna drive both trucks at once?" Deathless smirked as he walked for a truck. "I just want to take the passenger seat."

"Fair point, but I'm taking the front truck regardless," Sue said back, "So follow ME, smart alec."

Foresight froze for a moment, then grabbed Circuit, "Everyone move out, they're already on the horizon!"

The others didn't hesitate and ran for trucks. Suddenly, the wide window of one of the trucks shattered like glass. Sue had ducked just in time, and then peaked out of the truck to see what was coming.




What looked like a caravan of cars started to look more threatening as each of the trucks were clearly mounted with guns or even rockets.

"Okay, next stop, Away from here!" Sue shouted as she got the truck moving.  Foresight and Circuit were in the back of the same truck, taking cover from some of the gunfire, as Circuit used her power to detonate the missiles mid-flight.

The other truck started up on it's own, and Frostfight and Tremor Max took to it immediately. As the trucks started moving, the called out for Firefight as he was on the semi-truck still. Their leader ran from one side of the semi-truck's load to the other, then ran back again and leaped. Tremor just caught him and pulled the man onto the truck. They made their escape, but the new units coming in were starting to close the gap. That's when Firefight pulled out a detonator and pressed the button as the trucks started to go around their wrecked vehicles. The explosion blew apart and lead to a cluster of other explosions. The could and dust made it hard to tell what was left of them. For a while, it seemed like they had gotten out of their cleanly, until three trucks broke through the smoke.
