I am a thing long ago broken. Whose cracks pour both a sublime pain and profound darkness. My divine darkness, whose hands reach over a lifetimes work...an unending debt in penance. For every indentation, every crack, that blackness within screams for mercy. Oh have mercy...I cannot see mercy.

Certain characters reoccur for a multitude of reasons. Some are spiritually significant. Others are symbolic and extend beyond the scope of their initial appearance. The rabbit Mellania illustrated here, represents a long standing expression of mine, the imagery of cracked and broken rabbits. In suffering, in feeling alone in that suffering, cracking and breaking is a very powerful image to me.
The game itself is absolutely brutal, definitely one of the hardest games I've ever played.
The story and themes of the world you play in were always far more interesting to me. If you don't feel like being masochistic enough to actually play the game (and I really can't blame you), there's some great story synopsis videos on Youtube.
