Geh, hard to find good references of rebel flight suits... Ended up using a combination of comic books and action figures to come up with something approximating what it should be. Of course, now I'm terrified of wrecking it by messing with it. I'm thinking I might need to make his hips a bit less narrow... among any number of things. Feh, guy bodies are hard. =P By the way, my forray into the arena of drawing humans has a dual purpose... First, I need the practice. Second, Michael Stackpole is one of Stellarcon's author guests, and I'm a huge fan of his books. So this is my lame attempt to make up for being a hopeless fangirl. Never seen Horn fanart before... didn't think enough people were into those books ^^
I've read many of the X-Wing series, but it was a long time ago... Thinking back, they were probably some of my favorites as well. I also liked the Han Solo trilogy, and I think my other favorites would be the Timothy Zahn series.

Now I think I'm going to have to tack some more of those books back on to my to-read list (not that any of them have gotten read in the last...few years ._. )
Wow, you're lucky! I've never been able to attend a convention... ever. I doubt I'll ever be able to meet those authors o_o
