Some stage of active labor. Not birth or pushing, but riding out a contraction. Could be some interesting pose ideas such as squatting, kneeling or bracing against an object (or her mate).

Contracting bellies are so good and sort of easy to do haha
Although adding a character would make it harder. Just another challenge I guess, not like animating is easy by itself lol

I'm so inexperienced I really need to work on my walk cycles but an animated internal shot is something I've never thought before

and the pregnant person is getting desparate for some sleep but all they can do is rub their belly to try to sooth the babies inside

How about a standing sex scene? Have the pregnant cutie lean forward so each thrust causes some nice swaying with the belly.

Sounds like an easy loop but it'd be much harder for me to do 2 characters haha

All are great suggestions, I cannot think of anything better that hasn't already been said. It'll look great no matter what though.

Always been fond of seeing kicks so violent (if not necessarily cartoonishly ridiculous) the person carrying it's hips swivel in the direction of the kick.

So if the baby's active enough, it's almost like the mama's doing a little involuntary dance.

Honestly, that's something I like as well! I can be somewhat hypnotizing haha

Other that a hips sway, not sure how else I could animated

Breasts, pregnant belly, butt, and tail could all sway. You can also animate expression changes. If that’s not enough to work with, pause the body swaying mid animation for unborn belly kicks and lactation development. Another thought, show the unborn making its mother’s belly sway while the mother just performs a static pose. There are impressive possibilities from the Jackochallenge pose—at least from the example i provided. :D

How about...
Drink a potion, but with every DROP of it, its +1 baby! And someone accidentally chugs ALL of it.

How about a pregnant person going through the motions of sitting down, having to adjust to the extra weight?
