No, not that kind of High.
Yes, we've been watching Dungeon Meshi.
We exchanged knowing glances during the parasite/eel episode, so it was inevitable that I draw this. Sigh. I mean, I wouldn't actually make a good High Elf, right? RIGHT? (I honestly don't know since I don't really follow fantasy stuff, just going by how much teh hubby laughs his ass off every time Marcille is grossed out by the meal, or anything else).
FWIW, I had a hard time deciding between drawing him as Laios vs Senshi, both fit pretty well one way or another. But it was just too weird drawing me as the taller one, so Laios it is.

At least generally speaking, elves tend to be portrayed as haughty and reserved and at least a little elitist. That's high fantasy's Lord of the Rings dna showing strong. I can't possibly imagine you being anything like them in that regard.
Marcille isn't really like that though. Spending time with weirdos like the Toudens will do wonders for shifting your world view I guess. ;p

Also, Marcille is only a half-elf. Because she's not a pure Elf, other elf purists look down on her and she's actually considered a bit of an oddball by other elves for how she wanted to study and work with so many non-elf folks. I think the one thing Vince and Marcille share in common is that it's easy to get them to spazz a bit and go squick if you toss them too far out of their comfort zone too fast. But just like Marcille, Vince is also a trooper, and he'll delve that dungeon and put up with so much weirdness to be there for the folks he cares about ^^
Haha, I never heard of that show. But eating a parasite? Eww! Chewing on it probably feels like eating a giant gummy worm. XD But at least he looks to be enjoying it.
I'm not sure if you knew this... during the 50s and 60s people (mostly women) purposely ate tapeworms to lose weight. The treatment did work, however it still had disastrous results when the worms would continue to grow and grow, and reproduce more worm that spread through the body.
So Laois better be careful eating those parasites.
