... It was years ago, when Mingo was still a child, excited to be a radio or television journalist... at his young age, he would comment on any event that happened in his house, with the animals, something new among the plants and he would spend his time watching the news and reading the newspapers of the time.
He insistently asked his father not to give him any more toys, but a tape recorder, with a microphone to record his voice and that of others.
There was Deolinda, a beautiful young girl who had not yet finished school, with whom she met regularly to chat, in which Mingo, with the new tape recorder on his back, in his suit and tie, pretended to be a news reporter. Deolinda, however, was accustomed to the vocation and the effort of our friend with practices to improve diction and speech. The interview began with enthusiasm after the meeting:

- And there are many aspects: first, I love geography, of course, but I like to understand the shape of the earth in a geometric way, because topography creates poetry in numbers and beautiful graphics of what the earth cannot say on its own. I will be a soldier, yes... when I finish school, I will try to enter the School of Non-Commissioned Officers of the Military Geographic Service as a sergeant. I know that I will do very well... also, my brother Justiniano is a good sergeant, who is in the army's band of musicians.
- Interesting ideas, and how good that your brother helps you with something that he knows about the military. Tell me: What plans for the future?
- There are many. My brother and I have the obligation to leave as a legacy the effort of our father, who asked us to be happy, avoiding all the inconveniences of what he lived in his youth.
- We know that your father is a war hero from Charcas-Paracuario, and participated in the different revolutions or coups d'état of the country. So, what do you think of the future?
- The future looks good now, we don't come from wars and revolutions. It will be better than today!!!
- Promising then, there is hope!!!
- And what do you think, what kind of dreams do you have?
- I dream of traveling around South America and the world and learning about its geography with a map in hand. Or going to train in the most advanced countries, and coming one day to teach someone interested!!!..
Mingo, already worried about his cassette tape that is about to end, records these last sentences:

La súper entrevista
... Fue hace años, cuando Mingo era todavía un niño, ilusionado por ser periodista de radio o televisión... a su corta edad, comentaba cualquier suceso que sucedía en su casa, con los animales, algo nuevo entre las plantas y se pasaba el tiempo viendo las noticias y leyendo los diarios de la época.
Le pedía insistentemente a su padre que no le diera más juguetes, sino una grabadora, con micrófono para grabar su voz y la de los demás.
Allí estaba Deolinda, una bella jovencita que aún no había terminado el colegio, con Mingo se reunía regularmente para charlar, en las que, Mingo, teniendo la nueva grabadora a la espalda, con su traje y corbata, simulaba ser un reportero de noticias. Deolinda, sin embargo, estaba acostumbrada a la vocación y al esfuerzo de nuestro amigo con prácticas para mejorar la dicción y el habla. La entrevista comenzó con entusiasmo luego de la reunión:

- Deolinda, entrando en confidencia: ¿Qué te llevó a decidir estudiar topografía? ¿Serás militar como tu padre??
- Y son muchos aspectos: primero, amo la geografía ciertamente, pero me gusta entender la forma de la tierra de manera geométrica, porque la topografía crea poesía en números y gráficos hermosos de lo que la tierra no puede decir por sí sola. Seré militar, sí... cuando termine el colegio, intentaré entrar como sargento en la Escuela de Suboficiales del Servicio Geográfico Militar. Sé que me irá muy bien... además, mi hermano Justiniano es un buen sargento, que está en la banda de músicos del ejército.
- Interesantes ideas, y qué bueno que tu hermano te ayude con algo que sabe de lo militar. Cuéntame: ¿Qué planes para el futuro?
- Son muchos. Mi hermano y yo tenemos la obligación de dejar como legado el esfuerzo de nuestro padre, que nos pidió que fuéramos felices, evitando todos los inconvenientes de lo que él vivió en su juventud.
- Sabemos que tu padre es un héroe de guerra de Charcas-Paracuario, y participó en las diferentes revoluciones o golpes de estado del país. Entonces, ¿qué piensas del futuro?
- El futuro se ve bonito ahora, no venimos de guerras y revoluciones. ¡¡¡Será mejor que hoy!!!
- Prometedor entonces, ¡¡¡hay esperanza!!!
- ¿Y tú qué piensas, que tipo de sueños te toca?
- Sueño con viajar por Sudamérica y el mundo y conocer su geografía con un mapa en la mano. O ir a entrenar a los países más avanzados, y venir un día a enseñar a alguien interesado!!!..
