There is a subtle difference between a wolf fur and a werewolf. This looks more like a werewolf to me. It echoes Medieval images of the transformed man in the way the werewolf isn't quite on all fours but is certainly not standing upright. And his expression speaks of the depraved power lust a transformed werewolf is flooded by.
