Sandy/Big Brain/Norman was a tragic Kaijin turn Kaiju by Gori machinations, who appear in Episode 49 of the Spectreman tv series: Norman, the Tragic Genius Monster.

Appearance and Abilities
Born as a person with slow learning disabilities, Norman provided the delivery of food to the Pollution Squad subjected to the same operations which Bobby was the test subject of and became a genius in his right, acquiring a doctorate and joining the University to study Neural Surgery. Sadly, unbeknownst to everyone, Gori temper with Dr. Daniel work to create a monster to serve him, and in a situation akin to Dr. Jekyll/Mr. Hyde, Norman was force to use his genius to create a bomb without his knowledge. His Monster form was a grotesque humanoid aberration, with three claws for fingers, stump feet and a massively enlarge purple head, with sharp teeth on it mouth. Veins were visible all over his body.

Despite holding his humanity and persona, Norman had no control over his body, begging Spectreman to kill him.

With his supreme intellect, Norman was among the few humans to deduced George was Spectreman.

History
Following the success of an Operation on a Scottish Terrier, a young man with learning disabilities named Norman, decided to subject himself to the same operation Dr. Diamond perform on a Bobby. In which time, Norman would grow quite found of the Terrier, viewing it as a brother. This began the process to lift Sandy's intelligence from a plain slow idiot to full blown Genius, but unbeknownst to many, Gori interfere by programming Dr. Diamond to do his evil bidding, with a visible mole on the back of his neck (a control probe); this made the Doctor to make final adjustment to the drug formula, which would be injected into both Bobby and later Sandy in later operations, but left him with noticeable headaches.

Some time later, Norman, now doctor himself, would graduate with high honors in the Field of Neural Science and joined Dr. Diamond's team, in the hopes to use his newfound Genius for the greater good of mankind; but before he could achieve his lofty goals, problems began to show when Bobby developed aggression an attacked Norman. The Dog was kept caged, and Norman express concerns of possible side effect on his formula, but these were shutdown by Dr. Diamond.

There after, Bobby had transformed suddenly into an aggressive giant kaiju, and despite Norman's pleads to reason with his "Little Brother", Bobby showed no signs of his former intelligence with in him. Despite begging Spectreman to no kill Bobby, the Hero had no choice but to destroy the once Gentle Terrier. Norman would provide a tomb for Bobby on a hill, but now haunted by the realization this will also be his fate.

Sometime later, when talking to Diamond, an argument develops between him and Norman, the latter suspecting the former was been used; Gori, listening from a far, falls impress with Norman's level of intelligence and decides to use him for his purpose, killing Dr. Diamond via remote control in the process in front of Norman, George and Kim, and melting away. With Diamond gone, all hopes lie on Norman to solve the equations and avoid Bobby's fate, which becomes a race against time, and of course, to the worry of George.

Late one night, Norman eats a piece of Raw meat, which is the first signs of trouble; then develops headaches and convulses on the floor; when he wakes up, he had turn into a monster with a big head and a craven for Human brains. The G-Men, acting on the Monster detector, go out on Patrol, where they stumble upon the changed Norman, escaping while laughing maniacally and leaving his victim dead without brains. Having satisfied his hunger for now, Norman goes back to the lab to work on a weapon; a Poisonous Gas that will kill human brains, leaving the Earth to Gori. The next morning, having reverted back to normal, Norman views his situation as hopeless.

The following Night, George, acting on a hunch, stays in the lab, and comes to see Norman was the new monster; he is discover by the former, but before he could kill him, Norman's will takes control and reverts to his human form. After a conversation, Norman begs George to kill him before he does further evil, but George tells him to preserver against the alien influence in him, by now knowing he was Spectreman this entire time, and begs him to hold him with strong steel chains and comes to show the work of the Genius Monster. After remembering his happier simpleton days, Norman has George promise to not allow the Monster to take over; from the on, Norman works in the lab in chains, with George keeping watch close by.

Sadly, the inevitable happens, and Norman fully transforms into his Monster self, grows in size, and somehow has the bomb in hand, done and ready to go. The rest of the G-Men come to assist, but their weapons prove useless against Norman. After the monster tosses a tree at them, George splits up from the group to Transform to battle his friend.

Norman, still holding to some semblance of his human identity, begs Spectreman to kill him; As his monster side begins to temper with the bomb to release the gas, Norman's pleads finally force Spectreman to release his Spectre Cutters, and abiding by by friends' last wish, kills him.

Sometime after the battle, two memorials now stand side by side on the hill; Bobby's and Norman's.
