This is part of an experiment I wanna play, as this could help me figure out how to manage my time when it comes to my drawings. I've made this same comic about 2 different ways. One is hand drawn (What you are currently seeing) and one is digital. However, I can't decide how I should color things going forward. That's where you all come in.
I've posted the pros and cons to each of these methods, but it'd still like the opinion of my audience (A.K.A. you guys.) Which do you prefer of these two methods?
With that in mind, here's the pros and cons of the style presented...
Pros
- I can work on these while in the work place. I get basically an hour of break time at my work place, and I can color in the work room.
- I can work on these ANYWHERE. I tend to work cheaply, and keep all my drawing stuff minimal and mobile, so I can draw even while on the go.
- It's comfortable for me. I'm use to this, I've been doing it like this since high school. Because of this is probably why I'm able to work so fast like this.
Cons
-This can be rather limited and costly. I draw with colored pencils that are prone to break and smear. they also need to be replaced often, because some colors are more popular than others. costs quite a bit of money in the long run, at least more than digital works.
- If there's any flaws in the drawings, colors or maybe lines or spacing, I cannot change it. I cannot erase the colors or ink. It's basically set in stone and I have to live with it. So, basically a lack of control, as strange as it sounds, and little room for error.
- I gotta use digital tools anyway. I may be able to color real fast and make it seem super nice with good details but the text boxes and speech bubbles I can only put in with digital tools because my actual penmanship is terrible...
So, that is the prose and cons.
What do you think? Is this style worth it or should I go with the other style?
Comment down below, The number of different people commenting under the art piece will determine which method I will use in the future.
