This is part of an experiment I wanna play, as this could help me figure out how to manage my time when it comes to my drawings. I've made this same comic about 2 different ways. One is hand drawn and one is digital (What you are currently seeing). However, I can't decide how I should color things going forward. That's where you all come in.
I've posted the pros and cons to each of these methods in the descriptions below, but it'd still like the opinion of my audience (A.K.A. you guys.) Which do you prefer of these two methods?
With that in mind, here's the pros and cons of the style presented...
Pros
- Looks cleaner. I will never underestimate the power of the fill tool again. being able to just fill in sections makes coloring so much faster. Often I just make the lines around where color should change then use the fill tool for the gaps.
- So much more control, any flaws or problems I saw in the comic from sketching and inking in before, I can fix with relative ease. this can make the art cleaner as well as redesign things I wish I did better.
- It is somewhat cheaper. I currently use FireAlpaca because it's free, and I don't have to do things like rebuy pencils or papers or nothing. I don't really have to worry about much outside of maybe a blackout.
Cons
- I am basically inking twice whenever I do it this way. I sketch and ink my work normally, but, once scan the art, I basically have to ink it all back in again to make sure the lines are of the same color. inking and coloring this in took longer than to pencil color in the entire comic during my work break.
- I am restricted to where I can use this. My current setup and bound to my bedroom, where I keep my computer. So, since I also have a job and a life to tend to more often, I can only get at this so often. Ultimately I get to work on this less, but it might be worth it since I could just ink and color at home while I sketch new stuff at work.
- I'm a bit slow with this, naturally, because it's a new frontier for me still. This is an issue that may go away, but it's still there, and could resurface if I use a different drawing app.
So, that is the prose and cons.
What do you think? Is this style worth it or should I go with the other style?
Comment down below, The number of different people commenting under the art piece will determine which method I will use in the future.

Looks cool. If you want to save time on tracing lines, I advise you to use the "Pen" tool (if you use Adobe Photoshop, you can easily find it there). This tool allows you to create contours with anchor points, which allows you to make lines even and in a direction convenient for you.
