Lionel Postwar 2037 2-6-4 Adriatic steam locomotive closeup
This is a closeup of the newest locomotive added to my Lionel O-gauge collection, a Postwar 2037 steam locomotive. The 2037 is technically O-27, which was the middle range in terms of price, being above the Scout series and below O-gauge, though it's 100% compatible with O-gauge, and is actually identical to the more expensive 637 O-gauge model in every way except its number, and was manufactured from 1953-1955 and from 1957-1963. She runs great, and has an interesting smoke unit designed to run on smoke pellets instead of more modern smoke fluid, though I do plan on buying smoke fluid for this, as pellet smoke units can use it, and actually work much better with fluid than pellets, though they can only take a few drops at a time.
