Sue Dan Blitz was squat down and leaning against a rock, with her wolf like ears, she waited. Her pistols were at the ready, may not have been the best option if she wasn't allowed to use her super speed, but it was the main thing she had. For a while there was nothing though, but Sue knew they were coming, his ears were twitching with every sound, listening. She heard eight of them, about two hundreds feet away and down the mountain. Each foot step different from it's location to how it would move the rocks stepped on. What was odd, was she recalled seeing more up before she took cover.

As she waited, they were heard getting close, but she heard them quite well in both of her  ears, they were splitting up, five on her left and three on her right. This could foil her plans a lot, not being able to just shoot them down with them fanning out like this... she set a pistol away, and grabbed a fragmentation grenade.

"Seems Dante was right about this." She thought to herself, "Just a bit more..."

They sounded real close, less then thirty yards now. They split again... Three to one side, four to another. the eighth one was... maybe right on the opposite side of the rock. There wasn't a sign of back up yet. It was just her and these enemy soldiers, and her mission was to protect those up the mountain. Powers or not, no matter the odds, she was trained to never fail at this. By the pin, she held the grenade in her teeth, and drew her other pistol again.




They couldn't have been more than ten yards now... four to her left, three on her right, and one opposite of her hiding spot. Sue took a deep breath and held it for a moment, and then grabbed the grenade through her grip on the pistol. She spun around as she leapt out from cover, using the momentum to help her throw and flung the grenade, pin free , into the soldiers that were now on her right. She aimed her gun in her left hand toward those on her left and started shooting. Two shots fired into one and then shot a second time at the next guy in her sights. As she hit the ground she took aim and shoot him a second time.

Immediately they were turning toward the trooper that revealed herself to them. As the soldiers turned to aim her direction, the grenade went off, a large explosion send shrapnel and stone flying everywhere and through the four soldiers. The one soldier aimed for her, but Sue had both pistols flash shots at him... the soldier wasn't aim to keep his arms up, and collapsed to the ground. Sue scrambled to her feet and looked around, she knew there was an eighth, and that wasn't even considering if that grenade killed those other. No sign of them, she ran for cover and listened again. Metal against rock, twenty feet away. She peaked out with pistols ready, and was met with the rapid fire of a rifle. She fired about three times back at the guy, but fell as shot struck her shoulder. The gunfire caused the soldier to take cover, and Sue took the opportunity. Fighting the pain in her arm, Sue charged his position. The next time that stag peaked out from cover, he was met with a pair of pistols shooting his arms, and a set of sharp fangs.




She spat out the raw meat she ripped out and looked around. There was something down the mountain, two of them, and they moved just enough to make Sue dive for cover again. She felt her bleeding wound from before. This wasn't gonna be as easy before, she already taken a shot, and they knew where she was. If she were to make another move, she'd need help, or a much better plan than she had before. Before she even peaked out of cover, there was gunfire. It got too risky to even peak out, they would be using the cover fire to close the gap up to her.
