When you're a young man like Piers, an alien among us, it's best to learn Earth customs more directly. One could read about them from second-hand sources, after all, but unless you have to opportunity to experience such things for yourself, it's doubtful those words will leave much the same impact.

So, Piers Renoir, a stranger in a strange land, has taken it upon himself to strike up conversation with a very handsome cougar. If only to see where the night takes him; and the night has only just begun.
