It is good to see that at least Vlagg's dad is not a complete idiot and after assuming his son could be in Wolven captivity (even so that is true in a way as a Wolf-Dragon currently holds his heart hostage) he si not right out attempting to go to war with the Empire over it like his counselors suggested.

But I have a feeling that Vlagg and Gervic not being found is more of a willful retreat from the world by both after what they just went through.

The picture of Vlagg looking at the camera and smiling has Vlagg with a bit of chin hair that is uncommon for most of the pictures that have been made of him. That picture must have been from near around the time when Vlagg propositioned Gervic to find his "dictionary" when Herinn was still suspicious about their new relationship. Vlagg didn't start to grow his hair out too much prior to Bob's death.
