Every one else that gazes upon it gains a vague sense of the sins I have committed no sins a mortal should bear, and no sins any divinity worth her essence should ever have done in the first place. This sword is symbolically meant to keep me from turning into what it fought, and to be used against those very same threats should they ever arise.
